But we needed Rooney back a.s.a.p.</div><div><br /></div><div>Luckily (was it? that makes you wonder) Mr. Rooney was back at the next game... and guess who it was against?</div><div><br />AC MILAN... it was probably Mr. Sir Alex Ferguson's plan to reserve his top striker for a bigger opposition. </div><div><br /></div><div>Anyway the match was incredible. All the players who were involved took the game to the Italian Giants and shut them out. Completely. Even with Becks in the Milan squad, they posed little threat and this gives us a view of what is to come in the coming months.</div><div><br /></div><div>the match ended 4-0. Yes FOUR... and here's the highlights:</div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><object width="480" height="295"><param name="movie" value="http://www.footytube.com/v/MzY0MjA="><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.footytube.com/v/MzY0MjA=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="295"></embed></object><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>So that was that, now to mark 100 years in Old Trafford with a home game against Fulham. The team that beat us back in December when we lacked defenders. It was personal. It was REVENGE.</div><div><br /></div><div>The first half was shaky as both teams attacked with desire to make a game of this. But unfortunately there wasn't any goals in the first half. And when the 2nd half started, it only took Nani and Rooney 30seconds to dismantle the Fulham defense and destroy whatever morale they gained during the break.</div><div><br /></div><div>Berbatov was menacing and unfortunately for him, he missed a couple of good chances. Funny, Valencia was pretty quiet during that game. A quick substitution in the 73rd minute saw 'The Anti-Pirlo' Park Ji-Sung arrive on the pitch and United attacked once more. </div><div><br /></div><div>In a few minutes, United was up 2-0 and that squashed all hopes of Fulham winning the game. To credit his efforts, Berba finally scored and took his tally to 10goals (in the league) this season.</div><div><br /></div><div>A good game all around. And Revenge is sweet isn't it. <span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span></div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre">H</span>ere's the highlights!</div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><object width="480" height="295"><param name="movie" value="http://www.footytube.com/v/MzY5MzA="><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.footytube.com/v/MzY5MzA=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="295"></embed></object><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">till then,</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#FF0000;">Glory Glory Man United,</span></b></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Liverpool is next.... and Chelsea will follow soon after.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#FF0000;">timcvm... out</span></i></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>timcvmhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06975178081719825355noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5074416740581938494.post-87808923012099714222010-03-18T13:55:00.003+08:002010-03-18T14:04:43.648+08:00My Bad...Once again... I've left my blog hanging..<div><br /></div><div>Argh!</div><div><br /></div><div>Quick update since the last post!</div><div><br /></div><div>Well Melbourne has been pretty effing HOT lately. Seriously!</div><div><br /></div><div>And unfortunately for me! I had to choose the room with the most windows thus it's become my own personal oven/HELL (if you want to put it in those words).</div><div><br /></div><div>don't really mind the heat, but well... it's quite unbearable when you don't have a fan.</div><div><br />Speaking of Fans.. I saw this amazing <a href="http://www.harveynorman.com.au/product/1255509387629/dyson-cm-air-multiplyer">lil bugger of a fan! </a> Effing expensive though... RM1.2k if you convert it, but it's really cool and it's something I really need probably until May? So any of you GENEROUS readers who wouldn't mind spending a lil something on me... I'll be glad to accept with a big THANK YOU!</div><div><br /></div><div>Besides that, Classes are getting boring.</div><div><br /></div><div>Seriously.</div><div><br /></div><div>Probably the only interesting class I have is Specialist PR, but then again, it's a writing class.</div><div>Bah.. there's still 9weeks to go! So hopefully I can get through this.</div><div><br /></div><div>On another note, <a href="http://amp.channelv.com/amp/viewArtist.html;jsessionid=B0EEDE28261D175D79BBD3F69094EB29?id=35911">SATURDAY AFTERNOON</a>, yeah Mel's band played their first gig of 2010 at Miss Libertine once again. Videos will be uploaded soon! Once Mel and I are done editing. And ohh... they have a new song! =)</div><div><br /></div><div>Anyway... hopefully this will be one of the last "quick updates" posts that I will have.</div><div><br /></div><div>till then,</div><div><br /></div><div><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#FF0000;">timcvm</span></i></div>timcvmhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06975178081719825355noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5074416740581938494.post-91325341789536949432010-03-09T19:02:00.002+08:002010-03-09T19:11:16.899+08:00SurvivorWell many of us did not expect the freak storm that almost destroyed part of Melbourne last Saturday.<div><br /></div><div>I didn't see it coming. Although I knew that it was going to rain, but I never expected the hail.</div><div><br /></div><div>After all, earlier it was almost 30 degrees. </div><div><br /></div><div>Thankfully and luckily none of my friends were injured. It was amazing that in just 18minutes, a storm could wipe out almost the entire city.</div><div><br /></div><div>The roads were flooded and the sidewalks were filled with leaves and gunk. And some lanes were filled with ice cubes from the hail storm earlier.</div><div><br /></div><div>Parents with their children fled to higher grounds to avoid the flood. Some abandoned their cars. The Moomba festival which I was supposed to go to had to be shut down and thankfully nothing serious happened over there as it was a day for family outings. </div><div><br /></div><div>Oh well, once again we witness the act of God. Many were imagining the predictions of the so called 2012 events, but let me say this, I don't think that will happen. </div><div><br /></div><div>till then,</div><div><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#FF0000;"><i>timcvm</i></span></div>timcvmhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06975178081719825355noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5074416740581938494.post-81213836199716745292010-03-04T16:19:00.005+08:002010-03-04T16:43:04.433+08:00Bring out the guitars and start jamming...<div style="text-align: left;">True, I'm not much of a musician,</div><div><br /></div><div>but hell... I've decided not to post the other two, cause it would be irrelevant at this point. </div><div><br /></div><div>But another quick update:</div><div><br /></div><div>AC Milan 2 - 3 Man Utd</div><div><br /></div><div>Everton 3 - 1 Man Utd</div><div><br /></div><div>Man Utd 3 - 0 West Ham</div><div><br /></div><div>I know, that loss at Everton hurt us. But thanks to our 'noisy neighbours', we're back to within 1 point of Chelsea. Hopefully we'll have better results in the coming weeks.</div><div><br /></div><div>Anyway, I missed the Carling Cup Final. Well not really. I didn't get to watch it live. So I tracked it on Soccernet's live feed.</div><div><br /></div><div>Anyway, I was pretty nervous when I saw the score at 1-0 in the first few minutes. It was a disaster but luckily Owen was out there to impressed and after watching the replays, I think it was a pretty good goal.</div><div><br /></div><div>If ever Van Der Sar retires anytime now, I believe United should immediately snap up Brad Friedel as I think he's one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League. Sure, he had his bad experiences with Blackburn but still he has been solid throughout his time in the premier league. Add that with the rock solid Richard Dunne, I think United would have eventually lost. </div><div><br /></div><div>But step in the unstoppable Wayne Rooney! Owen's injury is surely a blow, but if it wasn't for this substitution early on, I think United will have trouble getting on the score sheet. His header was pin point, and it was pretty lucky that it dipped over Friedel and went into the net. But whatever it is, United deserved the win.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://picsrv.manutd.com/?fif=/manu/img_10_33726_2944.jpg&obj=iip,1.0&wid=500"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 500px; height: 191px;" src="http://picsrv.manutd.com/?fif=/manu/img_10_33726_2944.jpg&obj=iip,1.0&wid=500" border="0" alt="" /></a><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:x-small;">picture thanks to: </span><a href="http://picsrv.manutd.com/?fif=/manu/img_10_33726_2944.jpg&obj=iip,1.0&wid=500"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:x-small;">http://picsrv.manutd.com/?fif=/manu/img_10_33726_2944.jpg&obj=iip,1.0&wid=500</span></a></div><div>So we've picked up our first trophy of the season.</div><div><br /></div><div>We have 2 more to go. As the Andy Gray says "the team with the most goals meets the team with the meanest defense".</div><div><br /></div><div>The game started off well, Villa and United were knocking at each other's doors but it still remained shut. A lapse of concentration allowed Villa to get the first goal, and immediately they started to build their wall.</div><div><br /></div><div>However United wasn't going to sit quietly and watch the game go to waste, a quick break allowed us to get our 10 and yes TENTH OWN GOAL of the season. It's as these teams want us to win something this season. Anyway from then on the game got boring, why?</div><div><br /></div><div>Let's give a round of applause to the "BEST" referee (kayu) of the season.</div><div><br /></div><div>Peter Walton</div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.dcfc.co.uk/javaImages/ea/e6/0,,10270~3401450,00.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 320px;" src="http://www.dcfc.co.uk/javaImages/ea/e6/0,,10270~3401450,00.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:x-small;">(credits to </span><a href="http://www.dcfc.co.uk/javaImages/ea/e6/0,,10270~3401450,00.jpg"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:x-small;">http://www.dcfc.co.uk/javaImages/ea/e6/0,,10270~3401450,00.jpg</span></a><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:x-small;"> for the pic)</span></div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Take a Clear look at a Referee Kayu</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Seriously, if the BPL is gonna be the best league in the world I expect better referees to manage to game. Clearly this guy was either drugged or extorted or threatened to let Villa win the game. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">His first mistake was already apparent, Nani's sending off was a joke. He clearly got the ball and Petrov made a scene out of the whole thing. Being the BLIND bat that he is, Walton straight sent Nani off without carefully taking a look at the situation.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Next there was a clear foul on Rafael where Ashley Young stuck his leg out to prevent Rafael from getting up. Isn't that a clear yellow card offense? Apparently not according to Walton. What about the foul on Rooney which was a clear free kick. Nothing. The rugby tackle of Rafael towards the end of the second half was also waved away this so called "official" referee.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">With already 1 man down, United still fought back and at times looked dangerous. Villa was clearly the second best team and if we had kept Nani in the game, we would be on top of the table and sharing champagnes with Everton. Oh well, till the great FA does something about it, the game will be forever scarred by silly decisions to let these people officiate the game. Take a look at the game with the famous "Henry Hand ball", the officials clearly could have seen it, but somehow they were reluctant to take action. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Here's the highlights:</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><object width="480" height="281"><param name="movie" value="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/xc6p35"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/xc6p35" width="480" height="281" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always"></embed></object><br /><b><a href="http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xc6p35_aston-villa-v-manchester-united_sport">Aston Villa v Manchester United</a></b><br /><i>Uploaded by <a href="http://www.dailymotion.com/distromatch">distromatch</a>. - <a href="http://www.dailymotion.com/en/channel/sport">Discover the latest sports and extreme videos.</a></i><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div>proud with my team frustrated with the REF</div><div><br /></div><div>Glory Glory Man United</div><div><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#FF0000;"><i>timcvm</i></span></div>timcvmhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06975178081719825355noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5074416740581938494.post-50708943918008118812010-02-09T09:20:00.003+08:002010-02-09T09:31:06.100+08:00I think I'll just.... A powerful header (a way he usually doesn't score till this season) </div><div><br />The second one was kinda like a lucky break as Nani managed to get a deflection that fooled poor David James. I thought it would be Nani's goal but sadly, once again the officials thought that he doesn't deserve the credit for the 2nd week running.</div><div><br /></div><div>The third goal was a good solo effort by Dimitar Berbatov (to my surprise), he almost didn't manage to make the shot on the first try but luckily he found enough space to let one rip outside the box to get it past the helpless David James.</div><div><br /></div><div>The fourth goal should have been credited to Carrick. I mean, seriously, his shot was already going in before it took that huge deflection that bounced right into the net. Although James might have saved it on the first try, the deflection once again fooled James, who looked useless in the Portsmouth net. </div><div><br /></div><div>The fifth and final goal well, I have no argues about this being an own goal but Diouf should hav stuck his leg longer into the path of the ball. But good pressure from him led the defender to panic and thus score for us.</div><div><br /></div><div>5 star display? Yes! it was United attacking at it's best and you gotta credit the defense as well. Johnny Evans looks solid and he saved us that one time.</div><div><br /></div><div>Here's the highlights:</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><object width="480" height="273"><param name="movie" value="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/xc4z3w"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/xc4z3w" width="480" height="273" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always"></embed></object><br /><b><a href="http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xc4z3w_manchester-united-v-portsmouth_sport">Manchester United v Portsmouth</a></b><br /><i>Uploaded by <a href="http://www.dailymotion.com/ganztacarl">ganztacarl</a>. - <a href="http://www.dailymotion.com/en/channel/sport">Discover the latest sports and extreme videos.</a></i><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">So we're back on top of the league.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">A request to dear Mr. Wenger, please do your best to stop that Russian Charity Team.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#FF0000;"><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:large;">Glory Glory Man United,</span></b></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#FF0000;"><i>timcvm</i></span></div>timcvmhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06975178081719825355noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5074416740581938494.post-58437038059952602562010-02-05T00:55:00.002+08:002010-02-05T01:23:04.691+08:00ReunionsWow time really does fly....<div><br /></div><div>I remember it was back in 1998 when my uncle and aunt plus my 2 cousins came from the US. Arshavin was menacing as usual. But apart from his constant menacing... Arsenal were pretty quiet this time around.</div><div><br /></div><div>Probably it was thanks to the midfield quintuplet of Park, Scholes, Nani, Carrick and Fletcher. Although I'm not really a fan of the 4-5-1 style, but seriously Fergie has constructed a new style to United's play in recent matches.</div><div><br /></div><div>You have Nani and Park running down the flanks constantly being backed up by the best full backs United have to offer, Evra and Rafael. Surely there's no stopping them as their link up plays are a joy to behold. Next attacking from the middle will be a problem for the opposition players as for months now, people have been praising the work rate of Fletcher and Scholes plus Carrick is now doing a decent job too. How often have you seen attacks being broken down by these 3. A deadly combination, Arsenal's kids couldn't afford to get pass.</div><div><br /></div><div>Anyway I managed to catch the match till the 60th minute where Park scored United's 3rd of the match before I had to leave the mamak I was at. I quickly rushed home to get a quick look of what was happening thanks to ESPN Soccernet's live commentary and I found these comments funny. Take a look:</div><div><br /></div><div><blockquote></blockquote><blockquote>95'Game over. A throughly convincing performance from Manchester United and an emphatic victory. Arsenal's title chase is over again, barring some miraculous run of form. Rooney, Scholes, Nani and Park were excellent and United go one point behind the leaders Chelsea.</blockquote><blockquote>93'What has happened to Walcott? He runs on to the ball at pace and has decent space down the left but turns in a woeful cross.</blockquote><blockquote>91'Arshavin has had a miserable afternoon. He loses the ball and then fouled Valencia. Had the Russian taken some of the chances he had early on, or picked the right pass, this afternoon could have been very different.</blockquote><blockquote>83'Such a weak header from Walcott. He was ten yards from goal and unmarked but he headed it like an eight-year-old school boy in the playground who is afraid of the ball.</blockquote><blockquote>81'Another Arsenal goal in the next five minutes and I might wake up from this deep slumber.</blockquote><blockquote>77'Fabregas has given up here. Again he wastes possession when he had plenty of options. He must be gutted. I am still nursing a swollen jaw which was the after effects from Tuesday's surgery. Clearly it disrupted my 'sleep early wake up early and enjoy the game' plan. But no matter I still caught the match.</div><div><br /></div><div>The first half ended with a stale mate as both teams tried and failed to hit one into the back of the net. Although United were pushing up more and creating more chances, City had the best chance, but if it wasn't for the reliable Van Der Sar. I wonder whether I would be writing this post now.</div><div><br /></div><div>United started off the second half strongly. Displaying their hunger for the ball as they closed City down. Cheers to the midfield combo of Fletcher, Scholes and Carrick who broke down the advances of the City attack. One could have felt that a goal wasn't too far away, as United pressed on. True enough in the 52nd minute, little Paul Scholes produced another of his thunderbolt strikes that left Shay Given powerless. It was fantastic. When Carrick added another thanks to a superb move by Fletcher, I was already jumping up and down not even feeling the soreness in my lower jaw.</div><div><br /></div><div>Of course, United as always loves to do it the hard way, and thus some sloppy passing led to a City break that ended up with a goal which to me was pretty good. But at the end of the day, the boy that scored 4 goals during the weekend, popped up with a sweet third goal for United with ONE minute remaining that makes us winners with a 4-3 aggregate.</div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.footytube.com/v/MzI2MzE="><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.footytube.com/v/MzI2MzE=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Watching the replay was sweet. But the look on Tevez's face when Rooney scored was priceless.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">proud and satisfied,</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Glory Glory Man United,</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#FF0000;">timcvm</span></i></div>timcvmhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06975178081719825355noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5074416740581938494.post-84938379469950647852010-01-27T20:05:00.004+08:002010-01-27T20:18:47.659+08:00soup, wheat and soggy mee...I envy you normal people.<div><br />For I shall join your ranks in a couple of days.</div><div><br /></div><div>Yes, I'm not in pain but I just can't chew my food. It's a pain in the butt.</div><div><br /></div><div>It's not painful or anything, but its just that my teeth can't seem to bite down on solid food properly. Probably it's because of the swelling on both sides of my lower jaw. But besides that, the bleeding has stopped and I don't feel a thing from the stitches.</div><div><br /></div><div>Anyhow, my diet for the day has been:</div><div><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#3366FF;"><b>Campbell Chicken and Mushroom Soup with 1 Slice of bread for Brunch.</b></span></div><div>- yeah its a pain to chew the mushrooms and don't get me started on the bread. I had to cut it into really tiny pieces and throw it into the soup. And best part since I can't chew properly I'm just doing the bird thing where they just swallow the food.</div><div><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#3366FF;"><b>Wheat Bix and Milk</b></span></div><div>- I got hungry at about 3p.m.. Bread and soup is not enough I guess. So here I am watching episodes of Family Guy and I begin to think of what snacks can I eat without having to bite stuff. And yup, soggy wheat bix and milk did the trick.. eww</div><div><br /></div><div><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#3366FF;">Soggy Mee and Blended Vegetables.</span></b></div><div>- Thats probably the icing on the cake. My mom had to boil the mee (or noodles) until it was really soft and almost melts into the soup and then she blended a bit of vegie and threw it in. Totally sucked but you gotta eat to live. </div><div><br /></div><div>Sucks being sick like this. I can't wait for the swelling to subside and then it's Steak, Satay, Popiah, Mutton, Rendang, Ayam Masak Merah and all those wonderful food that I've been craving since Monday! hahaha</div><div><br /></div><div>sore and tasteless,</div><div><br /></div><div><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#FF0000;">timcvm</span></i></div>timcvmhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06975178081719825355noreply@blogger.com0
