Manchester United 3 - 0 Fulham

Before I start, let's have a quick look at what happened after the Villa game.

So United had a short break, as there were International Friendlies going on...

and unfortunately for us, Rooney picked up an injury during that England friendly against Egypt (which ended 3-1 btw)

so the next game was Wolves at the Molineux and once again, it showed the world we kinda need another goal poacher.

it ended up 1-0 to us thankfully for Paul Scholes. But we needed Rooney back a.s.a.p.

Luckily (was it? that makes you wonder) Mr. Rooney was back at the next game... and guess who it was against?

AC MILAN... it was probably Mr. Sir Alex Ferguson's plan to reserve his top striker for a bigger opposition.

Anyway the match was incredible. All the players who were involved took the game to the Italian Giants and shut them out. Completely. Even with Becks in the Milan squad, they posed little threat and this gives us a view of what is to come in the coming months.

the match ended 4-0. Yes FOUR... and here's the highlights:

So that was that, now to mark 100 years in Old Trafford with a home game against Fulham. The team that beat us back in December when we lacked defenders. It was personal. It was REVENGE.

The first half was shaky as both teams attacked with desire to make a game of this. But unfortunately there wasn't any goals in the first half. And when the 2nd half started, it only took Nani and Rooney 30seconds to dismantle the Fulham defense and destroy whatever morale they gained during the break.

Berbatov was menacing and unfortunately for him, he missed a couple of good chances. Funny, Valencia was pretty quiet during that game. A quick substitution in the 73rd minute saw 'The Anti-Pirlo' Park Ji-Sung arrive on the pitch and United attacked once more.

In a few minutes, United was up 2-0 and that squashed all hopes of Fulham winning the game. To credit his efforts, Berba finally scored and took his tally to 10goals (in the league) this season.

A good game all around. And Revenge is sweet isn't it.

Here's the highlights!

till then,

Glory Glory Man United,

Liverpool is next.... and Chelsea will follow soon after.

My Bad...

Once again... I've left my blog hanging..

Argh!

Quick update since the last post!

Well Melbourne has been pretty effing HOT lately. Seriously!

And unfortunately for me! I had to choose the room with the most windows thus it's become my own personal oven/HELL (if you want to put it in those words).

don't really mind the heat, but well... it's quite unbearable when you don't have a fan.

Speaking of Fans.. I saw this amazing lil bugger of a fan! Effing expensive though... RM1.2k if you convert it, but it's really cool and it's something I really need probably until May? So any of you GENEROUS readers who wouldn't mind spending a lil something on me... I'll be glad to accept with a big THANK YOU!

Besides that, Classes are getting boring.

Seriously.

Probably the only interesting class I have is Specialist PR, but then again, it's a writing class.
Bah.. there's still 9weeks to go! So hopefully I can get through this.

On another note, SATURDAY AFTERNOON, yeah Mel's band played their first gig of 2010 at Miss Libertine once again. Videos will be uploaded soon! Once Mel and I are done editing. And ohh... they have a new song! =)

Anyway... hopefully this will be one of the last "quick updates" posts that I will have.

till then,

Survivor

Well many of us did not expect the freak storm that almost destroyed part of Melbourne last Saturday.

I didn't see it coming. Although I knew that it was going to rain, but I never expected the hail.

After all, earlier it was almost 30 degrees.

Thankfully and luckily none of my friends were injured. It was amazing that in just 18minutes, a storm could wipe out almost the entire city.

The roads were flooded and the sidewalks were filled with leaves and gunk. And some lanes were filled with ice cubes from the hail storm earlier.

Parents with their children fled to higher grounds to avoid the flood. Some abandoned their cars. The Moomba festival which I was supposed to go to had to be shut down and thankfully nothing serious happened over there as it was a day for family outings.

Oh well, once again we witness the act of God. Many were imagining the predictions of the so called 2012 events, but let me say this, I don't think that will happen.

Bring out the guitars and start jamming...

True, I'm not much of a musician,

but hell... I know when to appreciate good music when I hear them.

So this coming April 22nd,

I'm heading to Billboard on Russel Street, to catch... the amazing...

SWITCHFOOT!

well once that is over, I'll be heading over to the Rod Laver Arena on the 3rd of May to catch,

JOHN MAYER!!

who's performance will be opened by the hand picked guitarist by the late Michael Jackson for his This Is It tour:

ORIANTHI!

It's gonna be a music fest this 2010.. and I'm looking forward to it!

Aston Villa 1 - 2 Manchester United

I'm so sorry...

This is long overdue. I've decided not to post the other two, cause it would be irrelevant at this point.

But another quick update:

AC Milan 2 - 3 Man Utd

Everton 3 - 1 Man Utd

Man Utd 3 - 0 West Ham

I know, that loss at Everton hurt us. But thanks to our 'noisy neighbours', we're back to within 1 point of Chelsea. Hopefully we'll have better results in the coming weeks.

Anyway, I missed the Carling Cup Final. Well not really. I didn't get to watch it live. So I tracked it on Soccernet's live feed.

Anyway, I was pretty nervous when I saw the score at 1-0 in the first few minutes. It was a disaster but luckily Owen was out there to impressed and after watching the replays, I think it was a pretty good goal.

If ever Van Der Sar retires anytime now, I believe United should immediately snap up Brad Friedel as I think he's one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League. Sure, he had his bad experiences with Blackburn but still he has been solid throughout his time in the premier league. Add that with the rock solid Richard Dunne, I think United would have eventually lost.

But step in the unstoppable Wayne Rooney! Owen's injury is surely a blow, but if it wasn't for this substitution early on, I think United will have trouble getting on the score sheet. His header was pin point, and it was pretty lucky that it dipped over Friedel and went into the net. But whatever it is, United deserved the win.

So we've picked up our first trophy of the season.

We have 2 more to go. So the guys better work hard.

Here's the highlights:

till then,

GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED!

This is Bad...

Damn my procrastination is getting from Bad... to Worst...

Seriously!

I told myself I'll start blogging continuously.. but I think I got distracted by the CNY celebrations.

Anyway quick update:

CNY was a blast...

We (as in my friends and I) survived the bottle of 151

I gambled and won some, lost some! Moral: never gamble big amounts.

Drove to KLIA one morning (5.30am) to see a friend off and to pick another friend back.

Pretty much met up with most of the people I wanted to see in my last week in Malaysia.

Had alot to eat, from Chili's to Dim Sums to Seafood! You name it.. I had it..

Then there was that AIRBUS A380 flight back to Melbourne thanks to Qantas.

And now.. I'm in the land down under!

of Tigers and Cupids...

Okay this is rare,

perhaps I've experienced it before in my life, but I can't seem to remember it. Possibly because one of the festivals didn't mean much to me.

anyway... 2010 marks the year of the Golden Tiger (or so I was told)

it also happens to fall on the same day as, Valentine's day. So with these two festivals colliding it's gonna make way for one awesome event. I hope!

Anyhow... I would like to take this opportunity to wish my readers:

A VERY HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!

MAY THE YEAR OF THE TIGER BRINGS YOU LUCK, PROSPERITY, WEALTH, JOY AND ALL THOSE GOOD LIL THINGS IN LIFE!

REMEMBER: RULE NUMBER#32: ENJOY THE LIL THINGS! =)

AND ALSO

A VERY HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

TO COUPLES AROUND THE WORLD. (not to mention)
WOULD BE COUPLES AS WELL.

AND NOT FORGETTING

A VERY HAPPY S(ingles) A(wareness) D(ay)
TO ALL YOU SINGLES OUT THERE.

REMEMBER: YOU'RE SINGLE AND ARE ALWAYS READY TO MINGLE =)

okay...

enjoy the festivities,
