Manchester United 5 - 0 Portsmouth

Okay.... it does seem like either United were very unlucky, or it was just not Portsmouth's day.

From the start of the kickoff, it was certain that this game was to be United's.

THREE own goals?

come on... it seemed like the match made United seem like the LUCKY ones but if you clearly watched the game, I think you're mind would differ.

The first goal was inevitably Rooney's goal. A powerful header (a way he usually doesn't score till this season)

The second one was kinda like a lucky break as Nani managed to get a deflection that fooled poor David James. I thought it would be Nani's goal but sadly, once again the officials thought that he doesn't deserve the credit for the 2nd week running.

The third goal was a good solo effort by Dimitar Berbatov (to my surprise), he almost didn't manage to make the shot on the first try but luckily he found enough space to let one rip outside the box to get it past the helpless David James.

The fourth goal should have been credited to Carrick. I mean, seriously, his shot was already going in before it took that huge deflection that bounced right into the net. Although James might have saved it on the first try, the deflection once again fooled James, who looked useless in the Portsmouth net.

The fifth and final goal well, I have no argues about this being an own goal but Diouf should hav stuck his leg longer into the path of the ball. But good pressure from him led the defender to panic and thus score for us.

5 star display? Yes! it was United attacking at it's best and you gotta credit the defense as well. Johnny Evans looks solid and he saved us that one time.

Here's the highlights:

So we're back on top of the league.

A request to dear Mr. Wenger, please do your best to stop that Russian Charity Team.

Glory Glory Man United,
